Canada’s Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) is reopening this summer with IRCC sending as many as 17,860 invitations to apply (ITAs) beginning July 28, 2025.
This intake is aimed at individuals who submitted an Interest to Sponsor form in 2020 and are still in the IRCC pool. The department plans to approve 10,000 complete sponsorship applications under this intake window.

Not receiving an invitation this year doesn’t eliminate future chances, but you may have to wait for another intake or opt for a Super Visa in the meantime.
