In case there is a tie, there is a tie-breaker. The current tie breaking rule is based on the date and time the applicants have submitted their applications.

Express Entry Draw- Impact of COVID-19
Express Entry facilitates Canada immigration under three programs:
- Federal Skilled Workers- skilled workers with eligible foreign work experience.
- Canadian Experience Class: skilled workers with eligible Canadian work experience.
- Federal Skilled Trades program: skilled workers adept in a skilled trade.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic led to a total lockdown and caused various traveling restrictions. Consequently, the Express Entry draws for these programs were paused. The draws for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) were put on hold in September 2021. The last draw for CEC was held on 14th September, 2021, where 2000 ITAs were issued and the lowest CRS score to get an ITA was 462.
Similarly, the Express Entry draws for the Federal Skilled Workers and the Federal Skilled Trades program have not been held since December 2020. Thus, since 15th September, 2021, the Express Entry draws have taken place only for the Provincial Nominee Program.
